The simple menu means individuals don’t need to be great cooks to be volunteers yet they can use and develop their talents by just giving their time. Training is provided both to help the individual prepare the food and also to meet prescribed hygiene standards. On average a volunteer will spend just two and a half hours a month in the Saturday Café and this provides a service to the customers. We do this as part of the church’s activity, as a way of meeting people, to support charities and as part of our witness for Christ. If you would like to help in this practical and social venture contact us through the web site.
