Altrincham Methodist Church

10th Altrincham Methodist Brownies meet on Tuesdays at 6.30pm – 7.30pm.

Our girls are aged between 7 and 10 years old.

We do all sorts of fun activities and games based around the Brownie programme, which enables our Brownies to earn their badges.

In the last few months we have visited Altrincham Fire Station and been shown round the fire engines.   We learnt our first aid and were visited by St Johns Ambulance and by a Paramedic who brought her ambulance for us to look around.

At Christmas we had a party and were visited by Father Christmas and some of us attended,   and took part in the Christmas Service at church. 

We do lots of arts and crafts and have recently decorated biscuits with different coloured icing and made presents for Mother’s day.

Amongst the things we have planned for the forthcoming term are cooking chocolate marsh mallows, our end of term party, and making bracelets.  As well as what we do at our meetings the Brownies work hard at home preparing for badges and trying to do a ‘good turn’ everyday, which is then rewarded by having a leaf put on our ‘good turn’ tree on our Brownie cupboard.

Last summer we went on our Brownie Pack Holiday to Ashley for a long weekend, which was thoroughly enjoyed by both Brownies and Guiders.
