Plodders- Walking Group
The group was set up for people who wanted to go for short walks in the company of others. The walks take place on alternate Tuesday mornings. Every walk starts at 10.30 am and lasts one and a half to two hours. Walkers who do not have transport meet at AMC at 10 am when other group members with cars will transport them to and from the starting point.
The walks are mainly in local areas. This year we have been to Dunham, Lymm, Timperley, Bowdon, and Altrincham. The furthest we go on occasions are Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, or High Legh. Once a year we stray further for a full day out. We have been to Chester, Delamere, and Heaton Park as examples when we travelled by train and tram.
At the end of the walk, some of the walkers choose to go straight home while others meet somewhere for lunch the choice is yours.
We walk all year but one or two choose not to walk in the winter months and re-join us again in the spring.
We do all meet one week in December not to walk but to have a Christmas lunch together.
